Whiteside Education Foundation

The Whiteside Education Foundation is an IRS 501(c)3 charitable organization that accepts gifts on behalf of the District. The Foundation’s mission is to provide supplemental funding for classroom or school wide activities that are not funded through the District’s budget.

Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Since its inception, the Whiteside Foundation has provided funds for several grants including classroom science lab projects, leveled readers and young adult novels, math manipulatives, special education materials, media and web-based programs to enhance instruction. Contributions also flow through the Foundation for our Sacks of Summer lunch program and gifts of musical instruments, technology, and books. The Foundation is also pleased to accept gifts in memory of or in honor of individuals or special events.

The Annual Golf Tournament is the single largest fundraiser for the Foundation. The tournament takes place the first Friday of May at Yorktown Golf Course, Shiloh, IL. A fun night under the lights, complete with food, drinks, and fellowship raises significant funds to support the Foundation’s annual grants. The golf tournament is a 4-person scramble, starting at 5:45pm. Gather a team and join the Foundation for a fun evening!
